There are no quick and easy ways to make real money–if it sounds too good to be true, stay away. But if you’re looking for a fun way to supplement your income and build up some savings in case of an emergency, here are some options that might do just that.
Create an Etsy Store
In order to make easy money online, you first need a way for people to get in touch with you. Selling on Etsy is a great place to do that because it’s entirely online, meaning you don’t have to deal with salespeople or set up an actual store.

Rent Your House Out on Airbnb
A side hustle, or a little something on top of your main gig, can make all the difference. In an increasingly uncertain economy, having a diversity of income streams is essential. A recent study conducted by Bankrate found that over half (53%) of Americans don’t have enough money in their savings accounts to cover an unexpected $500 expense.
Create a free account at Rover and link up with local dog owners who need someone to watch their pet while they’re at work or out of town (their pet sitter will be listed right on your Rover profile).
You can set your own hours and rates and get paid every two weeks through PayPal. The site takes care of insurance and background checks for you—so you’re free to focus on making sweet, sweet money.
Get Paid to Drive People Around
If you live in a big city and have your own car, driving for Uber or Lyft can be a very lucrative side business idea. You’ll earn what you would as an entry-level employee and may also receive benefits.

Participate in Focus Groups
If you’re looking for easy money, it might be time to check out a company called UserTesting. It basically pays everyday people like you and me in cash or gift cards for our opinions on new products.
There are no interviews, there’s no experience required, and you don’t need your own product. Instead, UserTesting sends out their own tester products (everything from iPhone apps to food) and pays users $10 per test completion – which typically only takes about 15 minutes of your time.

Start Selling on Amazon FBA
Amazon FBA stands for Fulfillment by Amazon. Selling on Amazon is one of the quickest, easiest ways to get started selling online.
Unlike eBay, you don’t have to worry about shipping or returns (Amazon does it for you). Instead, you can just focus on finding a product that is worth selling.
One thing I love about selling on Amazon is that if your items aren’t moving – meaning someone hasn’t bought them in 60 days or more – then Amazon will start removing your products from their inventory and re-listing them for sale.
This makes it extremely easy for someone like me who has a lot of ideas but not a ton of time to move my products quickly when sales aren’t happening.
Find Gigs on Fiverr
Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelance services. While you might be able to find gigs on sites like Craigslist, Upwork, and Freelancer Fiverr is a great way for newbies to learn about easy ways to make money.
The site is completely free and even allows anyone with an Amazon account to sell products (digital or physical) as well as create graphic designs.
Earning money through Fiverr takes little time and requires no experience whatsoever, so get out there and start selling some gig—you can find plenty of ways how to make money online fast if you look in the right place!
Become an eBay Power Seller
One of these gigs requires that you already have an eBay account. The other doesn’t. Both, however, can help you make money online and bring in more customers—even if what you’re selling isn’t your own product.
Here’s how it works:
When a buyer orders a product through your listing on either site, you get paid via Paypal or by adding to your seller rating.
Your experience level will be based on whether or not you have an existing track record of sales and if so, how many transactions it represents.
If you don’t yet have any sales numbers at all, start with just one or two low-priced items a week until you build up some reviews under your belt; then increase your listings.
Sell Your Skills on Upwork/Elance/Freelancer
There are a number of freelance marketplaces where you can sign up and start selling your skills. Sites like Upwork (formerly Elance), Rent a Coder, Freelancer, Guru, and more function as freelance job boards where businesses post jobs they’d like done and freelancers compete for them.
You’re probably at least somewhat familiar with these sites already—there are even local sites where you can set up shop—but I found it valuable to actually list out these services just so that I could see what each one had to offer.
Get Paid for Surveys, Trials & Free Products
Sign up for a reputable rewards program, like Swagbucks or Inbox Dollars. Each time you complete a survey, a trial offer, or a free product trial from a partner site, you’ll earn anywhere from 10 cents to $50 per task – which adds up to hundreds of dollars per year.
We did some digging and found that Swagbucks offers 1,000 points for signing up for their paid online surveys. If you take three minutes and complete an easy new-to-you survey right now – say about your latest vacation – in exchange you could pocket around $6 (1,000 points times 3 minutes equals 300 seconds) without spending too much time.
And guess what? There are more opportunities.
Easy Money-Making Websites for Beginners
Start a blog and make money!
Make money by writing articles for other websites. It’s free to start a blog and there are many sites that will pay you for each article you write.
Here’s how it works.
You’ll need to register with one of these sites before you can begin making money. Once registered, you’ll be able to choose which site you’d like to work with. Then, you’ll submit an article to them. They’ll review it and decide whether or not they want to publish it. If they do, they’ll send you payment via PayPal.
Choose a topic.
There’s no shortage of ways to make money online. In fact, there are so many options available that it can be hard to figure out where to start. However, if you’re looking to make money blogging, then starting a blog is probably the easiest option. It’s also free, and you can set up a website in less than five minutes.
Write about it
If you’ve got an idea for a blog post, write it down. Then go back to it later when you have more time. You’ll find that writing about something you care about will help you come up with ideas for other posts. And once you’ve written a few posts, you’ll start getting visitors who are interested in what you have to say.

There are thousands of websites where people publish free articles. These sites range from general interest publications to industry-specific publications. Many of these sites allow you to submit articles directly through their submission form. Others require you to register before submitting.
