INDESCRIBABLE HAPPINESS: A man who grows cocoa tried chocolate for the first time in his life (VIDEO)
Ivory Coast is the world’s largest producer of cocoa, the food from which chocolate is made, and many farmers who work on cocoa plantations all their lives have never tasted the delicacy.
Many consider chocolate to be a universal treat enjoyed by all people. However, it is not.
There are people who have never tasted chocolate, and they break their backs and sweat working on cocoa plantations, which they sell for next to nothing.
The video shows a man eating chocolate for the first time in his life, who has been growing cocoa all his life.
“I’m not sure what is made of cocoa; I subsist by cultivating it, and I hear they make some food from it, but I’ve never seen it, so I’m not sure.” said the farmer.
And when he got chocolate and tried it for the first time in his life, his face lit up.
“It’s good, very sweet. I didn’t know cocoa was this tasty,” he said.
The chocolate was later tried by the other villagers, who had never had the opportunity to try it in their lives, considering that this delicacy is a luxury in their country and a row of chocolates costs two euros.
And, Alfonse, a farmer who tried chocolate for the first time, earns seven euros a day, from which he feeds 15 family members and pays four workers.
Farmers were delighted, and could not believe that chocolate was made from cocoa, so they saved the wrapper to show it to their children.
