Petronella, who studied at the Institute for Optimal Nutrition in London, advises that there is always a five-hour break before each meal and admits that she sometimes practices 24-hour fasting periods. Eat food that is as close to nature as possible, and if you have to process it in any way, you better not consume it.
However, this diet requires a pronounced calorie deficit, since the normal intake for women is from 1,600 to 2,400 calories, depending on weight, height, and level of physical activity, while men need between 2,000 and 3,000 calories. Experts suggest that women limit their calorie intake to 1,400 when they want to lose weight, and not all diets that go below that are recommended for most people.
