Stanford University

With a campus in Palo Alto, near Silicon Valley, Stanford University has played a prominent role in developing and boosting the technology industry in the region.

Many faculty members, students, and alumni have founded successful technology companies, including Google, Snapchat, and Hewlett-Packard (HP).

In total, companies founded by Stanford graduates earn $ 2.7 trillion each year. The university is often called the “Farm” because the campus was built on the site of the Stanford Palo Alto cattle farm. The campus covers 8,180 hectares, but more than half of the land has not yet been used.

Since 2018, the university has been organized and divided into seven academic schools. Philosophical schools (27 classes), engineering (9 classes), terrestrial sciences, energy and environmental sciences (4 classes) have master’s and undergraduate programs, while law, medical, educational, and business schools have only undergraduate studies.

Harvard University

California Institute of Technology (CalTech)

CalTech has many successful graduates and associates, including 39 Nobel laureates, six Turing Prize winners, and four Fields medals.

CalTech has about 2,200 students, and the primary campus in Pasadena, near Los Angeles, covers 124 acres. Almost all students live on campus. At all six faculties, the focus is on science and engineering. In addition to Nobel laureates and top researchers, the CalTech alumni community includes politicians and public advisers, especially in the fields of science, technology, and energy.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The University of California, Berkeley is a state research university located in San Francisco Bay, California. It is part of the University of California system and is the oldest campus in the system that was founded in 1868.

Berkeley has an impressive catalog of achievements that includes 107 Nobel laureates, 25 Turing Prize winners, 14 Fields medals, 103 MacArthur members, 25 Pulitzer Prize winners, 19 Oscar winners, and 207 Olympic medals. This university has produced several politicians.
